Welcome to Kookie Crumbs! Before you begin, make sure you’ve already read With Kookies on Top before diving into this. It is a 180+ page novella that will take you deeper into the world of Nelly and Yadah. It’s a timelapse of their continued journey filled with heartwarming (& hilarious) text threads, juicy social media posts, and key scene snippets for each month leading up to the epilogue. Please keep in mind that this is not a story where you’re going to get every single aspect of this next year together as that is not the purpose.

This novella’s purpose is to bridge the gap between the end of With Kookies on Top and the epilogue.

I wanted to create this because Nelly and Yadah's story felt too good to just end where it did. I kept imagining all the sweet, funny, and heartwarming moments they'd have continuing to build their life together. Plus giving y’all a little more insight into Jay’s crashout era LOL. So I created this timelapse-style novella (that like their main story ended up being longer than expected) to give my lovely readers a little bit more.

Though it will give the readers who want MORE, more... this novella is NOT necessary to complete their story, nor is it a second part, but it’s a great addition.

My ONLY complaint is that I needed more. . . . . that major cliffhanger left me in my feelings. It was literally like reaching for that biscoff cookie on the flight before service was interrupted by turbulence.

I absolutely loved me some Cookie and Nelly. After all those pages and these "Crumbs" I could still read more. The social media post and comments had me hollering. Nelly was crashing out, and X wasn't playing about them. I couldn't believe homeboy from the listening party was in the comments still trying to shoot his shot lol! Definitely a great read!

Everything is better with Kookies

I absolutely enjoyed reading the addition to Kookies on Top... the extra crumbs really tied the story together and helped truly show the evolution of Nelly and Yadah's relationship. Their story was a true test of love and loyalty and being a partner to someone who needs you.

The Krumbs really added a fun piece to their story as well and you are able to see how they are truly meant for each other.

As good as cookies and milk!!

I loved it!! This was my first project from Bella Jay and she worked herself into my author rotation. This series was so well thought out. It touched on sensitive matters but was not overwhelming. Nellys growth and acceptance was beautiful and Kookie's healing was an awesome experience. I've already read their love story twice and I am anxious to find out what happens with Jay. He deserves someone strong and beautiful to help him heal too. The social media inserts were items that I never knew I needed. Kristmas is to funny and I love Duece too.

Bella Jay really did her thing with this one. From the jump, the banter was yummy, the build-up was intense, and Nelly & Yadah had me in a chokehold. If I could have been a fly on the wall in the spice scenes…chile! All chef’s kiss.

The pacing never let up, and even with 600+ pages, I didn’t want it to end. There was so much flavor in this story from the slick one-liners to the emotional depth. Nelly yessss! Yadah Held her own and then some. It felt like a slow burn that kept throwing gas on the fire and I was here for all of it.

Bella knows how to write urban romance with real soul, and this book is proof. If you love long reads, unforgettable tension, and characters that stay with you? This one’s going on the re-read shelf. Put it In your cart and thank me later.!

Kookie Crumbs is the perfect cherry on top—or should I say, crumb on top—of With Kookies on Top. This novella is a heartwarming and humorous time-lapse of Nelly and Yadah’s first official year together, bridging the gap between the final chapter and the epilogue of their love story.

While it’s not a second book or a must-read for understanding their story, it’s everything for those of us who fell in love with these characters and craved more. Through hilarious group chats, juicy Instagram posts and comments, and monthly scene snippets, Bella Jay gives us a “day in the life” feel that feels both intimate and satisfying.

I loved seeing their growth, both individually and together, and the little details that made their relationship even more special. And in true Bella Jay fashion, the banter, social media chaos, and friends’ shenanigans had me laughing out loud. Jay’s “crash out” era was hard to watch, but it makes me even more eager for his redemption and love story.

Between the main novel and this novella, Bella really didn’t leave a stone unturned for Nelly and Yadah. The ending was perfect—true to them and done on their terms. While I’m content with where they are now, I’ll never say no to more updates…and I’ll definitely be first in line for Jay’s book.

Loved It!

Firstly, I love how you incorporate social media posts in your books. Secondly, it’s apparent you but WORK into Nelly and Yada’s love story. I loved every bit of Kookie Crumbs. I just HAD to know how to got to epilogue and I’m glad you didn’t leave us hanging. I was cheesing and rubbing my feet together all the way through. Both books were great reads!
